The Vance twins became caregivers in 1984, at the age of twelve, when their adoptive father sustained a head injury while hang gliding, causing him to become permanently disabled. When the twins’ adoptive mother passed away from cancer in 1997, their father moved in with Janine and her family for continued support. Janine believes that she’s surrounded by superheroes. She would not have been able to stay by her father’s side if it weren’t for the loving and continuous support of her superhero husband and two super daughters. Janine also believes that her twin is a superhero. For thirteen years, Jenette has worked in multiple nursing homes while mothering two super kids.
